Why Should You Spay or Neuter?

There are several good reasons, most importantly is to help prevent the already numerous amounts of unwanted companion animals and pet overpopulation.

It's good for your pet because it helps pets live longer, healthier lives; it helps to reduce the number of health problems that are difficult and/or expensive to treat; it eliminates the possibility of uterine or ovarian cancer and reduces the chances of breast cancer in pets, especially if it is done before a female's first estrous cycle.

Neutering male pets eliminates testicular cancer; decreases the chance of prostate diseases and pets are less likely to "roam" and "mark" or "spray" their territory.

Altered animals are less likely to exhibit aggressive behavior and temperament issues than animals that are not altered. It can also make pets less likely to bite.
