Bruno is a lovable 9 year old Boxer. Bruno’s owner became homeless and had to tearfully surrender Bruno. The facility keeping Bruno contacted breed rescues, but Bruno is 9 and may require long term foster care and there just wasn’t room. Bruno’s time was running out. Someone called AWL and asked if we could help. For Bruno and his owner, we had to try! An AWL volunteer emailed a number of breed rescues and other rescues. Patuxent Animal Rescue in Southern Maryland came to our aid. Before the week was out, Bruno had a furever home!! An AWL volunteer drove Bruno one hour and a PAR volunteer drove him another two hours.
