HOW TO
FOSTER A CAT
Become a Foster Parent for a cat or kitten(s)
One of AWLFC's most important activities is providing foster care for cats who are awaiting adoption.
Foster care parents provide a safe and secure environment for cats in transition from homelessness and from Animal Control.
Fosters are asked to provide shelter and transportation for medical care and meet & greets/adoptions. Medical fees are covered by AWLFC. There are opportunities to foster all ranges of cats and kittens, from adults to bottle babies in need of special care.
ABOUT OUR CAT FOSTER
PROGRAM.
Whatever your experience level, AWLFC will help you learn more about this critical volunteer activity.
We always need foster parents for cats and kittens. Foster parents provide:
-
A loving home
-
Socialization
-
Transportation for routine or emergency veterinary care
-
Participate in the adoption process by bringing them to adoption events.
-
Preparing a bio on each cat/kitten for social media and Petfinder.
-
Capturing good quality photos and video for use in bios and social media.
AWLFC pays for all veterinary care and food. Litter may be available, depending on donations.
